USJ in a Day

You've never been to Osaka if you have never been to USJ (that is according to me!)  Following our tiresome yet enjoyable tour the other week- and still can't get enough of Japan we hustled to our next stop at Universal Studious Japan. We were so excited since we have the day by ourselves. We went for an early walk around Kobe's clean road to get to the bus station.

Yep, those people are lining up to get a cab. One thing I observed is that Japanese people make the most of their time either by reading, or skimming through their smartphones. Busy people. (me and my favorite bag hehe, Dora for the day)

But first things first! We stopped over this fast food so we can have our breakfast. We had a quick coffee and some bread at the hotel we wanted to get some take away coffee!

Here we come, USJ

It would take you at least 45 minutes from Kobe to get to USJ via Shinki Bus.They have daily service available but the last bus leaving USJ is around 7PM. USJ opens 9AM to 10PM. Ticket sells for Jpy 6,600 for one day studio pass. Kasai san managed to arrange our ticket and she personally handed this ticket to us. How thoughtful!

Since there are just to much to see and to much to say about the place,
let me give you a photo tour (drum roll please!!)

Welcome to the USJ!

I almost ran to get to the entrance! Char lang.

Not really  part of the view but they looks cool though..

So pretty...MM

Lets go for a ride? Yes?

Adorable right? I mean that cutie behind me.

Back to the Future Ride

First ride for the day was BTFR - a simulator ride, which according to wikipedia was based from a film series of the same name. We did not wait too long because our ticket's an Express Pass, which is a good thing. No photos allowed inside so pardon me. We were ushered to a 8-seater vehicle inside as 'volunteers' for the mission. So when the elevator closed and our 'plane' took off its flight, the effects were amazing 4D- It felt like really flying.

Jurassic Park - The Ride

So after the sci-fi ride, we went to the next ride- The JP Ride. A face to face encounter with some dinosaurs, of course I've watched  Jurassic Park movie, but hopefully no real thing, right?

ho
Jurassic Park -here we go!

Ok, here's the catch. You will get a real feel of the Jurassic Park the movie as in everything! At first you will have a quiet relaxed ride with some dinosaur encounter which is just fine.  Then the raft enters the restricted area, don't panic yet, you're entering the raptor's containment area. There are some dinos on loose,  careful because you are plunged into the dark room. This is where the fun starts!!! The whole effect is a bit scary. The raft ascends slowly..and just when we thought the ride will finish smoothly..the raft opens right in front of the raptor's wide open mouth, then the raft drops down  quickly...no time to squeal..which when I googled is 85ft high!

Can you spot me where?

We couldn't stop laughing when the ride was over!

Be prepared to get wet! My I-survived-the-JP-ride smile.

But I realized I needed a drink after all..You can buy hot and cold drinks from this vendo.

That is where we drop!!! Wheew. It was fun and thrilling ride!

We bought some souvenirs too!

No feeding of the birds!

Hello Pinky Kitty

I was so happy to see lots of hello kittys! Kitty overload, omg!

Leeann & Ellie, for you!

Playing around like a kid..

Thank you Santa for your gift!

Some entertainment for those who just want some to relax their legs after the walking.

Universal City walk, a shopping mall just outside the USJ

Finally, some burgers and fries to cap the night!

So that concludes my day tour to USJ, what a day!  We made sure to grab MOS Burgers for dinner and catch the 7 PM bus to Kobe. It was a thrilling, exciting and fun experience all at once, just living the dream of the child in me !

Happiness in the lands of dreams,
