Still feeling that familiar Disney feeling, our tour bus brought us to our next and final stop over to China. Yes, you heard me right. Our tour guide settled those who will be going to Macau and those who have tours to China. We transferred to a separate vehicle that will take us to East MTR Station going to Lo Wu Station, China.
Shenzhen is located northern part of Hongkong and is in Southern part of Guangdong Province, China. It's a 45-minute train ride from the East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station plus another 30 minutes for immigration and boarding formalities.
Our tourguide Mark met us at the station and gave us our visas prior to entering. It was a good thing that our group visa's already included in the tour. Shenzhen visa is valid for 5 days within the Special Economic Zone, but you cannot travel further to China unless you have a valid Chinese Visa.
It was past 9:00 PM when we finished with the immigration and some drizzles welcomed us to China. We checked in at our hotel barely sleepy and grumpy because we found out that our souvenir was nowhere to be found! I felt really bad but I can't suppose to ruin the remaining tour for some lost souvenir right?

We almost didn't make it on breakfast at the hotel, but we managed what remains from a supposedly "buffet breakfast". We had a good memory about it sharing hearty laughter's over some rich Yangchow, hot omelette and tasty coffee!

The Bamboo Factory
Next is a trip to Bamboo Factory, featuring products from bamboo skinned from its trunk and leaves to make absorbent towels, photoframes, coveralls, haircovers, shawls and many more. So interesting to learn all that, huh when I could only think of bamboo as ornaments, I remember that one poem my sis used to read me: Pliant is a bamboo. Indeed it is pliant, versatile, bending over and beyond, stretching itself to make different useful things! So I got myself a couple of towels and hair covers while pliant is a bamboo on my head. Hehe

Window of the World
One of the major attractions of Shenzhen is Window of World. A themepark that housed replica of Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids, Taj Mahal and other wonders of the world. It will literally take you to any corners of of the world in just one day.

And so that ends my short but splendid tour. We were back in Manila before I knew it...before I can even shake myself to go back to work the next day because I'm so full of cold weather, Chinese foods, aromatic tea, and Disneyland, China.
It was a really good tour except for the lost souvenirs. But 'll come back to know more of China, maybe Beijing next time?!
