Day 21-Happy thoughts

I remembered my 5 year old self, careless, dirty, silly, carefree but happy! Simple treats like candy, pandesal with cheese, Yakult, christmas gifts, new school bag or shoes makes me the happiest person in the world! It's so true that when you're young, you can't wait to grow up. As an adult, you wish you can go back to being a child again.

Growing up..

Makes you realize that its not really those empty frills that can make you sincerely happy. Being away from home and living on my own makes me look back about those simple joys I took for granted. Like nothing gives me more joy than going home to my Mamita's cooking or when she would sew my dress (while complaining a lot), comb my hair until I fall asleep, clean my ears, getting a back massage (yes I'm spoiled, joke), or being able to celebrate Christmas with family, the hilarious-exchange-gift-tradition, amusing parlor games, sleeping side by side with my sisters and trying hard to sneak out silently the following morning so the last one should arrange the used beddings (usually Cutie, she can't complain being the youngest!). It's that kind of simple happiness that amounts to nothing in this world!

As a career person, happiness is being productive! Completing reports on time, and getting commendation from your boss' boss. Being able to sleep for a longer time on a gloomy Saturday morning and getting up to a hearty breakfast.

Happiness..

Is indeed found in small things! I am grateful for all the simple things that's keeping my memory bank and heart full. So while I hang in here until December for my most awaited vacay, these faces (I keep on my phone) makes me utterly happy.

Its the 26th

We are down to the last days of March, and summer is starting to slather and toss us all in heat. My first quarter's up and I am looking forward to the 2nd one with much plans ahead. So while I enjoy my time prepping and finalizing itinerary for the-ultimate-summer-bonding-with-girlfriends in short sleepover at Betsy's place, summer outing with colleagues, and stretching weekend date in between with my not-so-busy-schedule. I' m making the most of my March! 

Speaking of which, I wanted to write down today's celebration, beats me its our 6-year-and-3rd-months! How I wish I can go back to our first few months of being couple, I'd sure do a 100-day-celebration, and 1000-day-celebration etc.etc. You see, late bloomer ako... so I'm making up trying to be extra sweet.

Currently, I am working on our scrap book- putting our trips together, dining out, simple Sundate, coffee-during-random-days , birthday celebration and many more! Sure I have this posted on my social media accounts (naks, social media daw) but you see I love doing this the old fashion way. I love to feel the photos and actually touch it, even caption it. Also, being able to check it anytime even during power black-out (I'm exaggerating I know) or when I'm being sentimental and melodramatic. 

Anyway, shall I give you a quick tour of this love affair?

Graduation made special because of his mere presence. 

He has to fly from Manila in order to attend my degree graduation. Happy heart 2x!  

Not only that, he was there to celebrate and congratulate me when results for board exams was posted. During Christmas celebrations with both family, countless-fiesta-trek, when I had allergies :( Did I mention during job-hunting too? He waited patiently for every interviews to finish and make sure I was okay. He was always there when I'm feeling low and ready to cheer me up and hugs me back. My best friend and soul-mate in one.

He insists we should spend summer vacation together.

Valentines Day 

Fast forward to now, he is still the same-sweet-boyfriend..only a lot busier! I think we've matured a lot in this relationship. It's not about who-said-what-and-who-was-wrong or why you- didn't-text-me-first? It's all about understanding, respecting, and supporting each other's dreams. 

So while he is busy with work and school, and me on my out-of-town-trips which my work demands, Skype, face time comes in handy and if 'may time' a 20-min coffee moment can be squeezed in. That's how we spent our happy 26th, every moment is precious and yes the feeling remains the same!
